Curaçao

The first 2 weeks of february 2013, my wife and I went to Curaçao. An exiting trip, in a number of ways. Not only a very pleasant one, since we could escape the bad winter in Holland for 2 weeks. But also a very special one, since it was my first trip with my new camera. The Sony NEX-6 with a 16-50 OSS and 55-210 OSS lens. My iPad was loaded with a dozen of e-books on photography and I learned alot this trip about how to use the camera without touching the ‘auto’ mode. I tried to put it all in practice and the results can be found in this gallery.

I have selected a number of photographs that show some of the experiments I made, based on the new adopted knowledge. I was pretty pleased with the quality of the images this NEX-6 produces. But hey: I’m just starting and this is my first system camera.. All of the images you see are shot in RAW+JPEG. I have nearly edited them all in Aperture on my iMac. Enhancing images in Aperture is also something I’m discovering, so for sure I know that this can be improved of the next months. Have fun checking out my photo’s and be sure to leave a note if you have suggestions of critics. I’m happy to learn!
